My name is Moema Novais, I’m a journalist and photographer with focus on human rights and I’m searching for a new job. I’m graduated on Social Comunication: Journalism by the Universidade Estadual Paulista and I’m doing my specialization on Human Rights, Social Responsability and Global Citizentiship on Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul.
I have experience on three fields: journalism, photography and content production. Due to my bagage, I know how to work with investigation techniques, SEO, evergreen and copywriting, also, I have a good narrative construction. I consider myself a professional dedicated, organized, creative, proactive, flexible and open to learn and teach on any context. I had lots experiences withs projects, so I know how to teamwork, on the position of coordinating or not.
During college I was editor in chief of the project Voz do Nicéia, that involved a community newspaper, social media and a blog. On my time on it, I learned to lead and to manage a project. I was responsable for the organization of the reporters, helping on the investigative process, kepping in touch with the community (what was really important for the manteinemance of the project) and helped with the dialog with the local power.
When I was in charge we created the social media, made the graphic-editorial reform of the project and, also, I produced academic contente about it. During my time on Voz do Nicéia, we recevied three prizes in recognition for our work. On the webjournal Mundo Digital I learned to select the subjects the reporters were going to write about and to work with Wordpress, and, on the Rádio Unesp Virtual I started to develop my apuration skills.
With photography, I worked few years as “second photographer” helping with the image capture, ilumination and cenario. As a freelancer photographer, my focus is photojournalism, and my work is to capture and treat the photos, and transmit the information through the images. I have already cover manifestations, protests, political and cultural events.
One exemple of my work with photography is my book, a graduation project conclusion, the Sagrado. It talks about three popular religions on Brazil: Candomblé, Espiritismo and Umbanda, and portrait, through photos and subtitles, rituals, teachings, relationships and the relation with the divine.
