Responsibilities
- Develop a territory plan to achieve or exceed growth per company plan
- Negotiate and close capital equipment (GD) sales with follow-on services and consumables
- Grow and manage sales pipeline with up to 30+ targeted accounts
- Coordinate with Support team to support pre-sales and post-sales activities
- Provide technical expertise to establish customer interest and facilitate product selection
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers for GD technology adoption
- Develop relationships with key opinion leaders within the region
- Sell to multiple stakeholders inside QC labs, Manufacturing, and executive suites
- Travel within the region to visit customer locations and meetings
- Admin duties include forecasting meetings, maintaining Salesforce pipeline, and expense management
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in science field or life sciences; MBA, MSc, or advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of Capital Sales Experience required
- Documented success in long selling cycles (6-18 months)
- Experience using SalesForce is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of industrial microbiology lab (QC) environment a plus
- Experience selling into highly regulated, GMP environments
- Ideally reside in CA (Greater San Diego, Los Angeles, or Bay Areas)
