Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a high-performance work environment
- Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies, processes, and best practices
- Oversee the creation of detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Supervise the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring thorough coverage
- Lead the development and maintenance of automated test frameworks and scripts
- Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring timely documentation, tracking, and resolution
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements
- Provide detailed reports on testing activities, defects, and product quality
- Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices to enhance QA efficiency
- Oversee performance and load testing to meet user load and performance criteria
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a lead role
- Proficiency in QA tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, QTP)
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum practices
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring QA teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to think strategically and develop long-term QA plans
