Sr. Director, Business Development – Surety (Large Contract) at Nationwide in United States Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Conducts research on underwriting market segment.
• Analyzes portfolio and individual account performance.
• Prepares files for review by Surety officer.
• Manages underwriting processes of regional office staff.
• Tracks monthly production activity to estimate DWP growth.
• Develops state expansion plans, including rate filings.
• Leads agent segmentation process for individual marketing plans.
• Supports directors with underwriting activities.
• Provides industry updates, competitive intelligence, and shares with teams.
• Assists in setting operational expectations, goals, and strategies.
• Develops and manages associate training programs.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in business, insurance, or finance.
• Actively pursuing AFSB, CPCU, or related certifications.
• 10 years of surety underwriting experience.
• 5 years of management or consultant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of surety underwriting and field operations.
• Ability to lead associates in surety operations.
