Senior Localization Engineer at Keywords Studios Plc in United Kingdom Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Set up environments and tools for localization.
• Extract localizable content from complex formats.
• Convert translated assets back to original formats.
• Automate asset transfer between customer portals.
• Troubleshoot issues in production translation processes.
• Contribute to the development of new production processes.
• Develop tools to optimize localization production.
• Customize localization workflows and tool integrations.
• Review and anticipate globalization issues.
• Analyze websites and applications for localization.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements and data integrity.
• Support operations and sales management.
• Collaborate with developers to implement solutions.

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science or equivalent.
• 2-3 years experience in software development.
• Knowledge of programming languages (VB, C#, Java, etc.).
• Experience with scripting (Python, Perl, JavaScript).
• Familiarity with markup languages (XML, HTML, XLIFF).
• Experience writing SQL queries is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of regular expressions and text manipulation.
• Expertise in CAT tools (memoQ, XTM, Memsource, etc.).
• Knowledge of internationalization best practices.
• Experience with multilingual localization issues.
• Knowledge of Machine Translation technology is a plus.
• Fluent in English and able to communicate effectively.
• Focused on automation and creative problem-solving.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
