Remote Sensing Specialist at WSP Africa in Canada Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Work on land cover classification using remote sensing data.
• Perform visual interpretation of aerial imagery.
• Develop machine learning algorithms for remote sensing applications.
• Build Python code for remote sensing tasks.
• Utilize ArcGIS for image processing.
• Collaborate on met-ocean projects to derive parameters.
• Contribute to proposals and reports.
• Perform technical reviews of team members’ work.
• Manage remote sensing projects and ensure timely completion.
• Identify business opportunities to grow the Remote Sensing Business.

Requirements:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Remote Sensing or similar field.
• Strong background in machine learning for remote sensing.
• Proficient in Python programming.
• Experience with remote sensing and GIS software.
• Expertise in land cover classification using object-based methods.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Experience in project management and business development.
• Experience with Google Earth Engine is a plus.
