Description:
- Backend Development: architectural design, coding and deployment of new product features and microservices.
- Maintenance of the existing product: identifying bottlenecks and areas of optimisation to ensure high quality performance.
- Product ownership: create innovative solutions to deal with technical issues and ideas for increasing product performance.
- Collaborative working: with our team of wider engineers and product managers to deliver high quality solutions and new product features.
- Adhering to best engineering practices: ensure code quality by writing clean, maintainable code and performing code reviews.
Requirements:
- University and Masters degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science / Engineering).
- At least 4 years experience as a Software Engineer/ Backend Developer.
- Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment.
- In depth knowledge of Node.js.
- Knowledge of Docker and k8s.
- Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Circle CI).
- Knowledge of databases as Postgres and Cassandra (or equivalents).
- Experience with Kafka (or equivalents) and distributed applications (microservices).
