Description:
- Assist company in effecting more efficient sourcing processes to save costs and maximize profitability.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain goods, materials, and services at the best prices by using strategic sourcing strategies and extensive knowledge of their assigned commodities.
- Act as primary point of contact for sourcing-related activities for assigned commodities.
- Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
- Develop and expand category knowledge in support of sourcing projects.
- Administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.
- Support Purchasing Agents focused on day-to-day activities.
- Request quotations for material and services, evaluate bids for pricing and delivery commitments.
- Perform data collection for all spend data, based on assigned commodities.
- Perform sourcing activities as part of cross-functional teams.
- Update and maintain vendor files in the system.
- All other duties required.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or managing suppliers.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in contracting/negotiation processes and best practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Communication, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative in nature to ensure all stakeholders are being managed and engaged when appropriate.
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently.
- Bachelor Degree.
