Senior PR Manager, APAC Full Time NEW

Summary:

• Atlassian is looking for a communications professional to drive communications in Australia and the wider APAC region.
• The role involves shaping Atlassian’s point of view on work culture, teamwork practices, and the future of work with AI.
• The Senior PR Manager will build upon existing thought leadership and contribute to global corporate positioning.
• The position reports to the Global Head of Corporate Communications, based in San Francisco.
• This role is within the marketing team and part of the global corporate communications team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of the APAC integrated communications strategy to build Atlassian’s brand, product awareness, and customer base.
• Manage and partner with regional communications agencies in Australia and India to meet regional comms goals.
• Collaborate with the corp comms team to develop narratives related to the future of work, AI, and innovation.
• Provide strategic communications counsel and support to the executive team and senior leaders.
• Prepare in-depth briefings for media interviews, speaking opportunities, and event participation.
• Ideate, develop, pitch, and place Atlassian brand stories in top-tier business and financial media.
• Partner with the office of the CEO for strategic media opportunities and manage crisis communications in APAC.
• Handle all inbound media, event, and speaking requests for Atlassian’s brand in APAC.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8+ years of communications experience with B2B enterprise technology, either in-house or at an agency.
• Ability to independently build and run communications programs.
• Experience managing budgets and agencies.
• Strong relationships with business and technology journalists and influencers.
• Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize among competing opportunities.
• Expertise in shaping media messaging for different audiences.
• Great writing skills, with experience in crafting messaging platforms, pitches, blogs, and executive speaking points.
• Proven ability to influence key decision-makers on communications programs.
• A healthy sense of humor and a proactive, solution-driven attitude.
