Credentialing Assistant Full Time

Summary:

Humana is seeking a Credentialing Assistant to support provider credentialing and recredentialing processes. The role involves reviewing and verifying provider documentation, handling credentialing data, and ensuring compliance with NCQA, URAC, and state regulations. The position requires strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a production-driven environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform initial credentialing and recredentialing via APEX.
• Correct errors identified by leadership in APEX.
• Contact providers or facilities to obtain missing or expired information.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks on schedule.
• Support timely credentialing and recredentialing initiatives.

Requirements:

• 1+ years of administrative, support, data entry, or related experience.
• 1+ years of experience in a metric/production-driven environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet Humana’s Work at Home connectivity requirements.

Preferred:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Healthcare or credentialing experience.
• Experience in provider network operations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
