Account Payables Manager Full Time

Summary

The Account Payables Manager at Pennant Services, a rapidly growing company in senior living and healthcare, oversees the AP team remotely from Idaho or Utah. Supporting 160+ locations across 14 states, Pennant emphasizes quality care and innovation through its Service Center.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor AP staff, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
• Identify and implement automation solutions to streamline financial processes, focusing on improving efficiency and accuracy and reducing manual work.
• Work with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial data for reporting and process improvements.
• Support the accounts payable team in managing vendor relationships, resolving payment discrepancies, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data, maintaining up-to-date records in compliance with accounting standards.
• Ensure adherence to SOX compliance standards for internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), including evaluating and testing controls, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements.
• Identify areas for improvement in the AP process and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Sage Intacct or other equivalent ERP software.
• Oversee and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the AP team, ensuring that targets related to accuracy, timeliness, compliance, and customer service are met consistently.
• Regularly assess team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience in identifying and implementing automation solutions within finance or accounts payable functions.
• Familiarity with automation tools such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), ERP systems, or similar technologies is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under time constraints.
• Experience in SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide leadership in driving process improvements.
• Experience with Tipalti/Sage Intacct or similar platforms is preferred but not required.
• Minimum of five years’ work experience in Accounts Payable is preferred.
