Accountant Full Time

Summary:

• The Accountant will monitor, prepare, and maintain financial information and reporting in accordance with best practices.
• The role involves supporting senior accountants and the shared service team with accounting duties.
• The position sits within the Cost function and also supports Intercompany accounting.
• Responsible for ensuring accounting tasks are completed within set timeframes and addressing any arising issues.
• The role contributes to the development of new or amended accounting systems and improving efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in generating general ledger transactions and related adjustments.
• Support monthly activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
• Help prepare financial analysis and reports from a profit and loss and balance sheet perspective.
• Analyze and review financial information for discrepancies and variances.
• Contribute to new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
• Assist with audit preparations and year-end activities.
• Support preparation of accounting records and financial reports according to company standards.
• Liaise with the broader team to ensure reporting standards are embedded in relevant finance processes.
• Perform other accounting duties and support the broader team as required.
• Assist in designing and implementing effective financial controls.

Requirements:

• Detailed knowledge of general accounting systems, processes, and practices.
• 3-5 years of general accounting or audit experience.
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Experience influencing stakeholders through challenging situations.
• Ability to deliver accurate and timely financial outputs.
• Excellent communication skills for building relationships with people at all levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and a passion for process improvement.
• Strong system skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP software.
