Accounting Manager – Wisconsin (Work From Home Flexible) Full Time

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the fiscal department staff and daily operations.
• Establish and review internal controls, guidelines, and best practices for accounting transactions.
• Oversee production of financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Perform financial and root cause analysis; present findings and recommendations to leadership.
• Manage organizational accounting information systems, including analysis and technical communications.
• Analyze and identify improvements for accounting system design and processes.
• Oversee payment of provider claims and support claims staff.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, oversee audits, and handle encounter reporting.
• Interact with contractors, providers, auditors, customers, and staff to address questions and facilitate functions.
• Promote financial competencies and write/revise policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Business, or related field; CPA is a plus.
• Minimum of three years of experience with complex analyses and reporting.
• Ability to lead and develop staff, propose and develop metrics.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; experience with accounting information systems preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to summarize complex information.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of claims processing, managed care, insurance, and Family Care program preferred.
• Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of insurance required.
