Summary:
The Analytic Data Engineer at Highmark Health works closely with IT to architect and engineer analytic data solutions. The role is focused on supporting analytic data discovery, maintaining data platforms, and integrating data systems across the organization. This position requires expertise in data analytics, cloud platforms, and data pipeline management.
Responsibilities:

Work closely with IT to architect and engineer solutions for the Analytic Data Warehouse.

Assist with design, build, and upkeep of analytic data solutions.

Assemble, test, process, and maintain the Analytic Discovery Platform.

Work on maintaining pipelines with key analytic platforms across the organization.
-
Incorporate alternative analytic data systems into the operational data flow.

Complete project tasks and meet with customers as part of a team.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Analysis, Data Processing, Healthcare Informatics, Management Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3 – 5 years of data analytics experience.

Preferred experience includes 1-3 years with data pipeline tools (Apache, GCP Tools, Databricks, PySpark).

1-3 years of experience building ETL and data integration pipelines in Python.

1-3 years working with on-prem databases like Oracle, Teradata, and DB2.

1-3 years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure) and their data services.

1 year of experience in healthcare data solutions, building reporting, and BI solutions (Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos).
