Application System Analyst IV – Willow Ambulatory Full Time

Summary:

The University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) is hiring an Application System Analyst IV – Willow Ambulatory to lead complex application analysis, development, and support. UMMS is a private academic health system delivering 25% of Maryland’s hospital care through 11 hospitals and over 150 sites in partnership with academic institutions.

Responsibilities:

• Leads highly complex analysis, design, development, testing, and support services for assigned applications.

• Oversees daily tracking and follow-up on issues and questions related to operations.

• Validates testing results and leads application and impact analysis of changes or new applications.

• Provides expert application support and guidance to end users; acts as a point of contact for complex problems.

• Leads development of testing scripts and conversion plans; participates in testing.

• Makes recommendations and offers alternatives for various development and support initiatives.

• Prepares various types of documentation, including application documents, reports, functional specs, training materials, and status reports.

• Creates and evaluates content and teaches other analysts.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in health, science, or business field, or equivalent professional experience required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in information applications, including one year of programming or application analysis.

• Experience leading projects or teams preferred.

• Healthcare industry experience preferred.

• Desired certifications in Service Management, Project Management, or Business Analysis.

Benefits:

• Hourly pay range from $47 to $70.54.
