Assistant Geospatial Data Analyst Full Time

Responsibilities

• Create figures, maps, and web apps to communicate geospatial data effectively
• Perform spatial analysis using GIS software for habitat and project evaluation
• Conduct quality control checks on geospatial data and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support biodiversity projects
• Support field ecologists in data collection and processing
• Assist in data quality assurance and consistency
• Maintain detailed records of data sources, methods, and results
• Contribute to innovation and stay updated with emerging technologies

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
• Up to 1 year of experience in GIS or transferable experience
• Passion for Biodiversity Restoration and Environment
• Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro software and its extensions
• Understanding of data management and quality assurance principles
• Interest in scripting and process automation tools
• Ability to work independently and in a remote team
• Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills

Desirable

• MSc in GIS or related field
• Experience in the ecology and environment sector
• Familiarity with other GIS software (QGIS, GRASS, etc.)
• Interest in emerging GIS technology and data areas
• Knowledge of web GIS applications and creation of web maps
• Familiarity with in-field data capture forms
• Understanding of programming languages and software development
• Awareness of technological advances in geospatial data
