Summary:
- Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing, and commercializing innovative medicines to address unmet medical needs.
- The Associate Director, FAM Training, will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs for Market Access teams, supporting the IBSRELA® and XPHOZAH® products.
- The role involves strategic planning and execution of brand-specific training experiences through eLearning, live meetings, virtual training, and on-demand courses.
- The position will report to the SVP, Sales, and work closely with the Sales Leadership Team to align training strategies with the company’s objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Execute and deploy brand-specific training experiences for Market Access.
- Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive plans supporting short and long-term objectives of the FAM team.
- Implement and continuously improve training programs, including new hire training, continuing education, and advanced learning for product knowledge and customer interaction capabilities.
- Develop classroom training, mentorship programs, coaching, and field assessments in partnership with Sales Leadership.
- Ensure that training programs comply with legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Market Access to integrate sales and marketing materials into training programs.
- Provide strategic analysis and planning to manage demands and expectations from internal customers.
- Design and attend certification training for relevant programs and vendors.
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree required, preferably in life science or business. MBA preferred.
- 6-8+ years of relevant pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience.
- Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals or biologics, with a background in specialty pharmacy and buy & bill.
- Proven communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders across sales and marketing.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, including budgeting.
- 25-35% national travel required.
- Experience in Gastroenterology or Nephrology preferred.
- Sales and reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration, organizational, and operational skills.
