Responsibilities:
- Establish and reinforce Ardelyx’s presence within the gastroenterology community.
- Develop a KOL engagement strategy, identify and maintain long-term relationships with motility/gastroenterology KOLs.
- Execute an engagement plan for top KOLs in the region.
- Facilitate executive and internal engagements with Ardelyx.
- Identify partnership opportunities between KOLs and Ardelyx.
- Develop and execute plans for large group practices in the designated area.
- Seek to understand KOL perspectives and synthesize insights to inform brand strategy.
- Participate as a member of the cross-functional brand team to provide feedback on strategy, tactical execution, and innovative ideas.
- Facilitate and plan regional and national advisory boards, capturing feedback to inform brand decisions.
- Provide competitive intelligence through interactions to shape strategy.
- Select KOLs for peer-to-peer programs, symposia, and other contracted activities.
- Assist with speaker training, development, and on-label training.
- Partner with brand and franchise marketing, ethics & compliance, and other teams on execution of peer-to-peer and contracted activities.
- Advocate for speakers and KOLs, sharing feedback to improve processes.
Requirements:
- 8-10+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
- Preferred: 3+ years of KOL experience.
- Preferred: 3+ years of GI (gastroenterology) experience.
- Must possess maturity and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to execute strategic plans under tight timelines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation and scientific data delivery.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams toward shared success.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with a high degree of influence and trust.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, hybrid in-person and virtual environments.
- Professional experience in clinical education, thought leader management, marketing, or related clinical experience.
