- The company is offering an AWS Cloud Engineer role within their Platform team to help deliver and support new functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and document work before starting tasks.
- Address AWS requests for action and perform system refreshes to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain pre-existing systems and manage AWS accounts, users, groups, and permissions within SSO.
- Safely decommission infrastructure and address security non-compliances.
- Respond to ad hoc requests from other teams and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Solid grasp of CI/CD principles and practices with experience in maintaining and optimizing deployment pipelines.
- Familiarity with common GIT workflows.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and G Suite.
- Strong knowledge of Varnish, Nginx, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Experience in diagnosing and tracing faults using terminal and other tools.
- Experience with infrastructure as code, particularly CloudFormation.
- Comprehensive understanding of AWS security, including policies, roles, SSO, security groups, and network access control lists.
- Cost control and awareness across AWS estate.
- Strong skills in logging, monitoring, and alerting.
- AWS Certifications are preferable.
