Summary:
The Benefit Counselor educates client employees about voluntary benefits and enrolls them in various platforms. This role offers paid national travel, remote opportunities, and a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in case, enrollment, product, and systems training.
- Educate and enroll eligible employees in benefit plans during open enrollment periods via face-to-face, telephonic, or website interactions.
- Accurately complete and submit benefit applications in compliance with data privacy policies.
- Work all shifts, including weekends, as needed.
- Conduct business according to high professional standards and maintain confidentiality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Active state life and health insurance license(s) required.
- Preferred experience in insurance and voluntary benefits.
- Proficiency in data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as web-based enrollment systems.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, professional, detail-oriented, and able to work with diverse clients.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
