Summary:
- MedVA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage financial operations while ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- The Bookkeeper will support various financial processes to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform all assigned responsibilities satisfactorily to contribute to the organization’s success. Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, principles, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.
- Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger.
- Prepare and analyze Financial Reports.
- Provide support for Budgeting and Forecasting activities.
- Assist with Audit Preparation and Financial Analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to ensure seamless financial operations and accurate reporting.
- Assist in tax preparation tasks as needed (tax preparation experience is a plus).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is highly preferred.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and tax preparation processes.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate across departments.
