Provide excellent service to callers regarding claims for multiple lines of business
Expedite the claims application process and provide detailed claim notes on all calls
Resolve issues with one call/one person response and direct calls to escalation path
Act as primary liaison with callers and solve problems related to claims application
Educate customers on documentation required, time frames, payment info, and claim status
Document all required details of calls in a concise professional manner
Enter verbal and written application information accurately into claims management system
Assign new claims to the appropriate claims handler
Direct calls to appropriate contacts or escalate to Service Center Specialist/management
Attend scheduled work hours as required

High school diploma or GED required; college courses preferred
One year customer service experience or equivalent education and experience required
Inbound call center experience preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology
Understanding of claims management
Excellent oral and written communication skills
PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
Strong organizational skills
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment
Ability to support multiple clients and utilize multiple systems simultaneously
Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently
