Summary:
- The Cashiering Analyst II processes mortgage payments, liquidations, disbursements, and lockbox and payment processing exceptions.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and timely processing of mortgage payments.
- This role requires expertise in cash processing and collaboration with other departments to deliver exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of funds to consumer accounts via multiple payment mediums.
- Resolve research requests, complete return item reversals, and reject incoming funds as applicable.
- Establish recurring payments as requested by consumers.
- Process unapplied funds and payments for liquidations.
- Process consumer requests and communication.
- Perform maintenance to ACH drafting, as applicable.
- Review daily reporting to balance and reconcile batches.
- Ensure compliance with State, Federal, Regulatory, and Investor Requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
- Meet established standards for compliance, quality, attendance, efficiency, and performance.
- Other projects and assignments as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cash management processes or mortgage servicing departments.
- Knowledge of cashiering processes, industry standards, and consumer protection laws.
- Highly organized, reliable, and results-driven.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and call center software.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
