Summary:
- Octopus Energy ECO is seeking Insulation Engineers (Cavity and Loft) to service ECO customers’ homes.
- The role involves working in Durham, Newcastle, Darlington, York, or Teesside, with a base at the Newton Aycliffe warehouse.
- Octopus Energy ECO delivers the government-mandated ECO scheme to improve insulation in lower-income customers’ homes.
- The role involves providing customer-focused insulation services while adhering to safety and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently achieve competencies in customer focus, communication, health & safety, quality, teamwork, and organisation.
- Install planned work with minimal disruption and communicate with team managers if work cannot proceed, offering solutions.
- Effectively communicate with customers before, during, and after installation to ensure satisfaction.
- Follow best practices for safe, high-standard installations and ensure machinery settings align with technical specifications.
- Perform daily and weekly health and safety checks, reporting defects.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain effective communication with team members.
- Adhere to and improve health & safety, quality, and standards through compliance with policies.
- Demonstrate commitment and drive, working as part of a team and using initiative.
Requirements:
- Experience installing cavity wall insulation (PBS) and/or loft insulation, ideally 3+ years as a lead installer.
- Ability to deliver excellent face-to-face customer service.
- Strong work ethic, flexibility, and a consistent desire to deliver the best customer service.
- Full clean driving licence.
