BizForce is hiring a Civil/Structural Engineer specializing in bridge design, with a focus on cable-stayed, suspension, arched, truss, and curved bridges.
The role requires at least 10 years of professional experience in bridge design, from conceptualization to design development (DD).
The position is suitable for engineers who have worked in the early stages of bridge design, prior to transitioning to partnered firms for construction documentation (CD) phases.

Develop Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer concepts and preliminary designs for bridges, ensuring aesthetic and functional integrity.
Collaborate with structural engineers and multidisciplinary teams to align designs with technical and site-specific requirements.
Produce design development (DD) documentation, including drawings and specifications.
Provide design insights and solutions for a variety of bridge types, including cable-stayed, suspension, arches, trusses, and curved bridges.
Work with external firms during the transition from design development to construction documentation phases.
Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and materials relevant to bridge design.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer.
Licensed Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer.
Minimum of 10 years of Civil Engineer/Structural Engineer experience, with a primary focus on doing complex/unique bridge designs.
Proven track record of working on cable-stayed, suspension, arched, truss, and curved bridge projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Sofistik.
Strong understanding of design development (DD) processes and technical detailing for bridges.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, clients, and external partners.
A portfolio showcasing conceptual and design development work on bridge projects is required.
Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment and collaborate with remote teams during US business hours.
