Summary:
Middlebury College is seeking Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) for Spring 2025 to work on-campus or remotely. The role involves tasks related to WMD facilities, country profiles, missile and WMD-relevant object image collations, case studies on illicit trade, and maintaining content for a WordPress site. The position provides opportunities to contribute to critical research on nonproliferation, WMD terrorism, and space security.
Responsibilities:
- Work on databases, website publications, fact sheets, and analytical issue briefs.
- Geolocate WMD facilities worldwide.
- Develop country and entity profiles.
- Collate images of missiles and other WMD-relevant objects while tracking sources and copyright restrictions.
- Develop case studies of illicit trade and procurement based on court cases.
- Maintain and provide content for a WordPress site related to trading compliance (export controls, sanctions, etc.).
Requirements:
- Be enrolled in MIIS classes.
- Be located in the U.S.
- Excellent writing and analysis skills.
- General knowledge of WMD nonproliferation issues.
- Knowledge of and experience in conducting scholarly research.
