Summary:
Acuity is hiring entry-level Commercial Processors to start in June 2025. This role involves retrieving, inputting, and processing insurance data across multiple states while applying critical thinking and decision-making skills. Responsibilities include handling calls, conducting manual premium calculations, and working with an automated queue system.
Responsibilities:
- Input data into the CL Front End System for new business quotes.
- Process new business applications, renewals, and policy changes.
- Apply renewal changes and pricing accounts, including manual and experience rating.
- Process cancellations and reinstatements from agents, insureds, and underwriters.
- Conduct data searches for risk assessment and policy details.
- Communicate with underwriters via phone, email, and internal systems.
- Process motor vehicle filings manually and online.
- Handle policy change requests via telephone and document updates.
- Provide switchboard coverage and direct calls appropriately.
- Code and process premium audits.
- Complete rating worksheets and policy change declarations.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred.
- Prior data entry experience is helpful.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Alphanumeric data entry rate of 6,500 keystrokes per hour with minimal errors.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Solid mathematical skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States (Acuity does not sponsor applicants).
