Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Contract Compliance Review Lawyer to join our team.
- The ideal candidate will ensure that contracts, policies, and agreements comply with laws, regulations, and community standards, especially in regulated industries or community-oriented sectors.
- This role is critical in analyzing legal risks, maintaining adherence to compliance requirements, and providing guidance on aligning contracts with regulatory frameworks and organizational policies.
Responsibilities:
- Review contracts, agreements, and policies to ensure compliance with community standards.
- Ensure terms and clauses adhere to legal and ethical community-related standards.
- Identify potential legal risks associated with contracts and propose modifications to mitigate risks.
- Provide advice on regulatory compliance for specific contract terms.
- Ensure contracts align with community values and organizational principles.
- Monitor updates to laws, regulations, and community standards that may affect contracts.
- Draft or refine policies related to contract management and compliance.
- Educate internal teams on legal and compliance aspects of contracts with different communities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional – CCEP (preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years in contract compliance or a related field.
- Experience in the mining industry (preferred).
- Familiarity with community standards and compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- In-depth knowledge of community standards and regulatory compliance.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Fluency in Canadian English.
