UBONGO is Africa’s leading producer of kids’ edutainment. As a non-profit social enterprise, we create fun, localised, and multi-platform educational content that helps kids learn, and leverage their learning to change their lives. Ubongo reaches over 27 million kids across Africa through accessible technologies like TV, radio, and mobile phones. Our show’s Ubongo Kids, Akili and Me and Nuzo and Namia, currently air in 23 countries across Africa in multiple languages.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a passionate Content Creator Intern with a strong interest in video editing to join our team! This is a 5-month remote internship where you’ll work closely with our Video Producer to create high-quality educational videos. You’ll gain hands-on experience in video production, storytelling, and editing while contributing to content that impacts millions of learners.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in editing engaging and high-quality videos for Ubongo’s educational content.
- Work closely with the Video Producer to refine storytelling and pacing.
- Organize and manage video assets, ensuring smooth workflows.
- Learn and apply best practices in video editing, color correction, and sound design.
- Contribute creative ideas to improve content quality and engagement.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong interest in video editing (no formal qualifications required, but some basic experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- A creative mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Reliable internet connection and **your own laptop** (this is a remote position).
- Passion for education, storytelling, and making an impact.
