Controller Full Time

Responsibilities

  • Oversight to monthly close process including monitoring of close activities and controls.
  • Monthly journal entries are recorded timely.
  • Maintain and track all month-end close activities and controls.
  • Maintain Blackline balance sheet reconciliation process and timeliness.
  • Ensuring all accounting is aligned to contractual terms and conditions.
  • Review, establish and manage the payor and CKCC Revenue Recognition Policies under IFRS15, IFRS17 and ASC 606.
  • Accounting for Joint-Ventures and other related business transactions.
  • Review contracts and work closely with Corporate Legal and Account Management team in determining appropriate revenue recognition for each contract.
  • Oversee Acumen SaaS accounting, including sales tax reporting.
  • Oversee Acumen billing and collection process.
  • Support initiative to transition to end state ERP platform (NetSuite).
  • Participate in general ledger conversion to NetSuite.
  • Designs short-term and long-term strategies for ERP solutions.
  • Ensure reporting follows International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory reporting.
  • Support both internal and external audits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders and leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Preferred: CPA certification and experience with SAP, NetSuite and/or Blackline.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% — travel a few days per year for onsite meetings as needed.
