Responsibilities:
- Manage and update The Verge’s style guide.
- Copy edit text on website, channels, podcasts, and videos.
- Edit weekly paid newsletters, Command Line and Notepad.
- Collaborate on special projects with managing editor.
- Co-write internal newsletter and enforce language standards.
- Copy edit and fact-check off-platform copy and marketing.
- Work with editorial leadership to uphold content standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum three years’ copy editing experience.
- Commitment to accuracy, clarity, and inclusivity.
- Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines.
- Sharp eye for grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Interest in topics like technology, culture, and science.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
