Responsibilities:
- Respond to inbound inquiries and organize critical information for chefs related to recipe development, edits, and updates.
- Onboard and train chefs into the CookUnity platform and recipe development systems.
- Provide administrative and reporting support to Chef Success and other key stakeholders throughout each process step.
- Take end-to-end responsibility for the process of new meals, recipe edits, and updates, including maintaining a tracking tool.
- Assist with the meal life-cycle from conception to market launch, working with chefs to optimize processes.
- Calculate and enter scalable portion and recipe yields.
- Conduct recipe input evaluations based on culinary best practices and defined targets.
- Submit and track new recipes, recipe edits, and ingredient SKUs.
- Categorize recipes with CookUnity’s tagging and designation system.
- Collaborate weekly with the Chef Success team, chefs, and other departments on menu and meal updates.
- Prioritize new recipes based on business and chef needs.
- Provide administrative support to the Chef Success Manager throughout the process phases.
Requirements:
- English fluency required.
- Strong data collection, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Culinary or food manufacturing background (e.g., cook, food scientist, dietitian).
- 2-3 years of experience in food development or culinary roles.
- Experience working in the food industry, especially with recipe development, testing, batch scaling, and edible portion yields.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment with strong planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.
- Experience with data entry, food production software, recipe management, food labeling compliance, GSuite, and Slack.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with chefs and stakeholders on nutritional labeling, ordering, and scheduling.
- Optimistic, resourceful, and ready to tackle challenges with a “do-er” mindset.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
