Summary:

Abbott, a global healthcare leader with 114,000 employees, seeks a Cybersecurity Specialist to work remotely in the U.S., based in Orlando, FL. This role focuses on managing cybersecurity training and analyzing threats for Abbott’s diabetes care division, enhancing security for life-changing glucose monitoring technologies.

Responsibilities:

• Work with risk management, security teams and business leaders to align security awareness and education initiatives to compliance requirements.
• Measure the effectiveness of the awareness and training program, make recommendations and execute change.
• Influence and validate metrics used in assessment of security program success and regularly report to security and business leadership.
• Interface with platform management and operations teams to aid in tool configuration and to ensure appropriate log review by operations personnel and data production for input into security intelligence program.
• Facilitate development of patterns for analysis tools used to identify and thwart malicious attacks.
• Protect applications in compliance with multiple, global privacy, security, business resiliency and compliance frameworks.
• Collect data from multiple sources, recommend vulnerability mitigation approaches, and provide detailed analyses of emerging cybersecurity threats.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or in developing and delivering cybersecurity training programs, with a strong preference for product security experience in consumer-facing apps and services.
• Strong understanding of security concepts and best practices.
• Experience with insider risk management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
