Responsibilities
- Oversee implementation of internal policies and adherence to global regulatory standards
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks
- Collaborate with GTM revenue team, international legal team, and global compliance
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes in all jurisdictions
- Coordinate with departments to meet regulatory requirements and prepare documentation
- Analyze inquiries from regulatory agencies and advise on regulatory changes
- Develop plans for regulatory exams and manage communications with regulators
- Provide legal guidance on corporate strategies, board meeting records, and foundational documents
- Advise on legal implications of company strategies, including contracts and strategic projects
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree
- Admission to a State Bar or equivalent legal qualification
- 9+ years practicing law
- 4+ years in a global regulatory environment
- 5+ years with Financial Services or FinTech companies
- Experience with regulatory compliance in U.S., U.K., and E.U. jurisdictions
