As the Director, Data and Science (Analytic Solutions – Epidemiology and Biostatistics Study Design) at Verana Health, you will be at the forefront of transforming healthcare through data-driven insights.

The Director will report to the Sr. Director of Data and Science (Analytic Solutions).

Drive the development of robust epidemiological and biostatistical study designs for commercial retrospective clinical studies, including protocols, methodologies, and statistical analysis plans.
Lead and mentor a team of 5 individual contributors, ensuring high-quality output in study design and analysis.
Collaborate with life science customers to align project objectives with Verana’s data and analytic capabilities.
Work closely with teams across the organization to translate clinical questions into appropriate study designs and data analytics requirements.
Ensure scientific rigor and validity of your team’s study deliverables and methodologies.

Master’s or Doctorate in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or a closely related field.
7+ years of experience in epidemiological and biostatistical study design within life sciences, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology sectors.
3+ years of experience managing research study teams, with strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Comprehensive understanding of advanced epidemiological and biostatistical principles in healthcare research.
Proven ability in team resource allocation and project management.
Strong client-facing skills with a demonstrated success in building relationships in the healthcare analytics space.
Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, or STATA) and familiarity with SQL and Python.
Solid experience working with clinical datasets and coding systems.
