Director of Product Design Full Time

Summary:

Rockstar is recruiting for PadSplit, a company focused on solving the affordable housing crisis, seeking a Director of Design (Product & Marketing) to lead and elevate design efforts across product and marketing, ensuring seamless and impactful user experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and communicate the design vision by creating a strategic roadmap that aligns with company goals and user needs.

  • Lead design execution for high-priority initiatives in both product and marketing.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive brand and user experiences.

  • Refine and evolve the brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.

  • Enhance the current design system by creating component libraries, style guides, and documentation.

  • Mentor and coach designers on craft, methodology, and career growth.

  • Advocate for human-centered design in leadership discussions.

  • Analyze and review user feedback and data to inform design decisions.

  • Facilitate design critiques and feedback sessions to foster a collaborative culture.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and integrate best practices into design and branding.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of design experience, focusing on both product and marketing design.

  • 3+ years of experience leading and mentoring design teams.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design deliverables.

  • Deep expertise in user-centered design principles, methodologies, and research.

  • Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, with flexibility in additional tools.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of marketing and product metrics to align design efforts with business outcomes.

  • Familiarity with marketplaces or real estate industries is a plus.
