Director of Software Engineering, Card Spend Full Time

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and lead an engineering team
• Design, develop, and implement a new card system
• Ensure regulatory, security, and compliance requirements
• Integrate card programs with existing systems
• Work with cross-functional teams to align efforts
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability
• Stay updated with industry trends and technologies
• Develop and oversee implementation of the roadmap
• Collaborate with Product Manager for product alignment
• Provide production support for smooth operation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Proven experience in launching card programs
• Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
• 6+ years as a hands-on technical leader
• 5+ years in backend engineering and development
• Experience in cloud computing, particularly Azure
• Experience attracting and leading engineering talent
• Strong project management skills
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Understanding of software development and best practices
• Experience with API integration and payment processing
• Knowledge of security standards for card programs
