Director of Tax Full Time

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement tax planning strategies for a global entity
• Establish business partner relationships to review tax consequences
• Manage all tax projects including M&A due diligence and tax studies
• Drive implementation of tax compliance systems for accuracy and efficiency
• Actively manage relationships with third-party tax advisors
• Oversee completion of federal, international, state, and local tax filings
• Oversee preparation of income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740
• Monitor legislative changes in tax laws impacting tax positions
• Establish strategies to minimize tax expense and exposures
• Ensure compliance with global transfer pricing requirements
• Ensure internal controls related to tax matters are in place and effective
• Establish and maintain formal tax policies for compliance with US GAAP
• Manage tax audits, notices, and inquiries from tax authorities

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting and corporate environments
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for complex matters
• Strong generalized tax knowledge across multiple tax areas
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Experience with Avalara or similar tax software
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth environment
• Collaborative team player able to partner with internal and external contacts
• CPA license required
