Prepare and manage the submission of periodic SEC filings, including 10-K annual reports, 10-Q quarterly reports, 8-K current reports, and other required filings, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and other disclosures for SEC filings, ensuring they adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and SEC regulations.
Stay current with changes in accounting standards and SEC regulations, writing memos and providing guidance on their impact on financial reporting and disclosures.
Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness, identify potential issues, and recommend improvements in financial reporting processes.
Establish and maintain effective internal controls related to SEC reporting to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, legal, and external auditors, to gather necessary information and support for SEC filings.
Participate in or lead the disclosure committee meetings to review and approve financial disclosures and ensure consistency and accuracy.
Manage and assist with the assessment, testing, and documentation of internal controls related to financial reporting (SOX compliance).
Assist with the accounting for stock-based compensation arrangements and financial reporting.
Manage the SEC reporting calendar to ensure all filing deadlines are met and communicate any potential delays or issues.
