Summary:
The Engineering Team Lead at Partly leads a team to develop and maintain foundational data standards for a global replacement parts platform, starting with auto parts. Partly, founded by ex-Rocket Lab engineers and headquartered in Christchurch, New Zealand, aims to eliminate waste and enhance sustainability in a $1.9 trillion industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and ingest foundational data standards.
- Work on core production ingest systems, ensuring data accuracy in structure and execution.
- Coordinate across the team to bridge the gap between global part and vehicle standards, customers, and the data transformation team.
- Build tools to assist manual research efforts and data transformation ingest data.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience developing complex applications.
- Firmly grounded computer science and engineering fundamentals, including data structures, concurrency, architecture, APIs, testing, and design patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong knowledge of databases and data models, relational and NoSQL.
- Experience with automotive parts (Bonus).
- Experience with the formation of any well-used data standard or ISO (Bonus).
- Experience with any form of complex cataloguing (Bonus).
