Entrepreneurship Program Manager Contract

Summary:

  • Bridge for Billions is expanding into Africa and seeks a Program Manager for a multi-country ecosystem-building project across Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
  • The position involves working closely with the Project Director to implement Bridge for Billions’ Ecosystem Builders project.

Responsibilities:

  • Local Community Engagement and Stakeholder Management for the Nigeria ecosystem (40%): Identify and establish strategic partnerships, recruit Entrepreneurial Support Organizations (ESOs), manage ESO relationships, engage with funding partners, and represent the company at local events.
  • Incubation Management and Support Conecta Africa countries (50%): Train and support incubation managers, oversee the entrepreneur and mentor selection process, facilitate workshops, and co-create progress reports.
  • Knowledge Management and Program Success Tracking (10%): Gather insights and lessons, track entrepreneur progress, and provide solutions to challenges.

Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Degree in business, project management, marketing, engineering, or related fields.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum of 4 years in program management, project management, operations, or customer success. Experience in entrepreneurship or working with startup ecosystems is a plus.
  • African Ecosystem Experience: Strong understanding of the African entrepreneurship ecosystem, with established connections in Nigeria, Kenya, and South Africa.
  • Entrepreneurship Support: Proven ability to implement initiatives that support entrepreneurs, tailored to local markets.
  • Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with Notion, Slack, Google Drive, and spreadsheets. Willingness to learn new tools.
  • Community and Network Building: Experience in building and nurturing entrepreneurship communities.
