Internova Travel Group is hiring an Event Technology Specialist to manage the planning, execution, and implementation of event technology platforms for ALTOUR clients. This remote U.S.-based role involves strategic oversight of virtual and onsite event technology solutions, client relationship management, and collaboration with internal and external partners.
Reports to Manager, Technology Operations Manager, and works directly with Strategic Account Team Leads.
Work with Technology Engagement Specialists to gather, qualify, and implement program content for event technology platforms and solutions.
Requires high performance skills in project management, timeline management and communication in a team environment.
Event technology support from initial build stage through onsite or virtual execution.
Manage the build-out of the event technology design plan in registration websites, email campaigns, API integrations, mobile apps, onsite technology solutions, and virtual technology solutions.
Copy write, edit, proof and gain approval from internal and external clients for accurate content.
Create or source, secure and establish rights for all visual content including photography, graphics, illustration and video.
Work with Digital Design Team to create exceptionally designed event technology platforms.
Work with technology suppliers, developers, graphic designers and coders for seamless implementation.
Collaborate in a team environment.
Incite enthusiasm and influence, motivate and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes.
Understand where additional technology components would benefit the client and promote them.
Multitask and manage multiple projects and switch between technology components.
Enter into situations not explicitly defined within the role’s scope.
Related experience or education in hospitality, meeting, incentive, conference and event industries.
Strong interest in technology and ability to adapt to new tech quickly.
2-3 years of experience with event management platforms, virtual solutions, mobile apps, and other tech applications.
Strong writing, proof reading and communication skills.
Creative and design-oriented mind.
Strong relationships with team members, clients, and vendors.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong work ethic, organizational and time management skills.
Strong customer service focus.
Keen attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Database programs.
Approximately 30% overnight travel required.
Ability to work weekends and nights during travel or meetings.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Community College or Technology Institute education required.
Graphic design skills ideal.
Experience with event technology solutions and project management.
Preferred experience with Cvent, Aventri, Cvent Attendee Hub, Aventri Virtual, Pheedloop, Hubilo, Hopin, Proske, Concur, Joomla!, Wordpress, Squarespace.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, database management, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, Windows, OS X, Android, and iOS.
