FEMA Client Account Manager Full Time

Summary:

  • AECOM is hiring a FEMA Client Account Manager to support its engagements with FEMA within the National Governments Business Line.
  • The role involves building and maintaining relationships with FEMA and other federal clients.
  • Responsibilities include aligning AECOM services with FEMA’s priorities and needs.
  • The candidate will work across all AECOM business lines, including Water, Environment, Program Management, Buildings + Places, Transportation, and Advisory.
  • The position offers remote work flexibility from various US locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with FEMA stakeholders across multiple directorates.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within the FEMA portfolio.
  • Maintain and update an annual account plan with revenue growth goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams to coordinate service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Track and assess client performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Lead proposal development and presentations for FEMA projects.
  • Conduct regular account reviews with AECOM leaders.
  • Stay informed on emergency management and disaster recovery trends.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree and at least 12 years of relevant experience in emergency management, public administration, or public policy.
  • Experience working with FEMA in emergency management and disaster recovery.
  • Proven experience in client account management and business development.
  • Strong understanding of FEMA’s mission, programs, and procurement processes.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with federal clients.
  • Experience managing complex projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proposal development and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance metrics and drive improvement strategies.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in multiple FEMA functional areas, particularly Response & Recovery and Mitigation.
  • Experience with US Federal government agencies on Architect-Engineering programs.
  • Background in infrastructure and advisory services.
