Financial Aid Specialist – Athletic Coordinator Full Time

Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic packaging, reconciliation, and adjustment of funds
• Communicate with Coaching staff regarding student athlete accounts
• Send weekly reports to coaches about missing financial aid documentation
• Process in federal electronic systems and PowerFAIDS software
• Perform monthly reconciliation of loans as required
• Present to large groups on financial aid and FAFSA regulations
• Assist with default management plan and default prevention team
• Process, package, award, monitor, reduce, and return loan awards
• Act as liaison for the financial aid office, answer daily questions
• Attend staff meetings and college-sponsored events

Requirements

• Associate degree in Office Professionals or related field
• Extensive related work experience considered in lieu of formal education
• Excellent computer, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle high stress levels
