Financial Counselor Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Furnish patients and healthcare providers with estimates related to upcoming treatments.
• Collect estimated liabilities from patients and apply payments to patient accounts.
• Acquire knowledge of patients’ insurance coverage and benefit limits, then communicate it to patients.
• Communicate the financial status of patients to internal staff and resolve any issues related to accounts receivables.
• Initiate prior authorization requests per insurance carrier requirements.
• Ensure reimbursement for medical services for non-insured and under-insured patients.
• Minimize potential financial risk by working daily on time-of-service reports.
• Act as a resource representative for questions regarding registration errors, insurance documentation, and accounting corrections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience in fertility or healthcare.
• Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and billing practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office is required.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts for patients.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
