FPGA IP Software Development Engineer-Intern Internship

Summary:

Altera, a pioneer in reprogrammable logic since 1984, seeks an FPGA IP Software Development Engineer-Intern for a 3-month, part-time (20hr/week) paid internship in its Product Enablement Group. Based remotely in California, this role focuses on developing compiler frameworks and SW-HW architecture for reconfigurable compute platforms, collaborating with advanced technology groups to enhance programmable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Developing a compiler frameworks.
• SW-HW architecture design.
• Performance modeling and physical design validation.

Requirements:

• The candidate must be pursuing a Degree in an Engineering related field.
• Experience in Generator-style RTL development.
• Experience in Circuit-level and physical design in a reasonably modern (e.g., FinFET) process node.
• Experience in Computer architectures and mapping DSP/ML/AI compute kernels to hardware.
• Self-driven to learn about new applications, tools, and methodologies.
• Strong teamwork/communication skills.
