Responsibilities:
- Use outdoor knowledge of bike routes, hikes, or trail runs to inspire Komoot’s userbase.
- Research and plan amazing routes on Komoot, visualized with inspiring Highlights, to form the basis of Collections.
- Review, polish, and set up new Highlights on the Komoot map to bring content to life and help users plan their own adventures.
- Write engaging and grammatically flawless intro copy, route descriptions, and Highlight tips to create inspiring Collections and provide practical information.
- Review and edit existing content to keep it accurate and fresh.
- Set up Highlights and Collections for tourism, sport, and brand partners of Komoot.
- Support the country team with peer-proofreading and quality control.
- Research images in the Komoot database and external sources to illustrate content.
- Assist with ad-hoc content tasks and projects like content support for media, B2B, marketing, and event teams.
- Localize the copy of relevant Collections for the Dutch-speaking userbase.
- Quality check and prepare community Collections for the Discover Feed.
- Assist with content maintenance and improvement.
Requirements:
- In-depth expertise of MTB, cycling, hiking, or trail running routes within the Dutch-speaking markets: Netherlands and Flanders.
- Passion for planning routes and using Komoot.
- Knowledge of access laws/countryside codes or where to find this information.
- Enthusiasm for sharing outdoor passions with others.
- Digitally minded, using the latest tools for efficiency.
- Strong eye for selecting images to illustrate route content and knowledge of image resources.
- Comfortable using Google Docs, project management tools, and content management systems.
- Available to work regularly and long-term.
- Native-level proficiency in Dutch and fluent in English.
- Ability to write inspirational and grammatically correct copy.
- Motivated, structured, and target-oriented.
- Experience with geographical databases like OpenStreetMap is a bonus.
