Full-stack Engineer – Portugal Full Time

Summary:

• Our Software Engineer will be an integral part of our Engineering teams in EMEA.
• This role is based remotely in EMEA in one of our legal entities: UK, Ireland, Israel, Estonia, or Spain (for full-time employment).
• The role is also available to contractors in Portugal or other East Europe locations.

Responsibilities:

• Implement features from proposal, through spec and implementation, to maintenance.
• Propose ideas that can be valuable additions to the products.
• Review code as part of the team’s commitment to code reviews.
• Dedicate one day per week to housekeeping to address technical debt.
• Provide feedback during team discussions and planning to identify challenges early.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of software development experience.
• A Full Stack Engineer (with strong Front-end skills) or a Front-end Engineer willing to learn Full Stack development.
• Experience with applying design thinking principles to frontend development.
• Solid understanding of programming languages, with knowledge of the React framework.
• Advantageous to know the Go programming language or willingness to learn it.
• Experience developing solutions in the Cloud or using Cloud services is a plus but not mandatory.
• Commitment to continuous learning and development.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices.
• Passion for creating high-quality web/SaaS apps.
• Experience with Git/GitHub.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-organized, goal-oriented, and self-motivated individual.
• Flexibility to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving team environment.
• A great sense of humor and enjoyment of work.
