Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, robust, and highly available backend systems using AWS services such as ECS, RDS, S3, OpenSearch, and Lambda.
- Develop APIs and microservices architecture using gRPC for efficient data communication between services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring security and data protection.
- Monitor, identify, and alleviate bottlenecks and bugs, providing timely solutions to technical challenges.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development practices and the scalability of infrastructure.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role with a strong grasp of service-oriented architecture.
- Expertise in AWS Cloud Services and managing serverless architectures.
- Proficient in developing gRPC services and understanding of protocol buffers.
- Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools, such as Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience in building applications for social media platforms or similar fields.
- Ability to work in an agile environment and pivot between various projects with differing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think algorithmically.
