Responsibilities:
- Development of Thematic Briefs:
- Collaborate with the team to create comprehensive slide deck reports and presentations that translate complex findings into strategic recommendations.
- Own policy-focused recommendations aligned with impact evidence and research from the Caribou team.
- Maintain relationships with the Strategy and Policy Management team at the Gates Foundation, ensuring alignment with their strategic narrative and leadership’s questions.
- Donor Landscape Analysis:
- Monitor and analyze the gender program strategies of key donors and philanthropic organizations.
- Identify trends and assess the comparative advantage of the Gates Foundation for maximum effectiveness.
- Business Development:
- Support business development activities, focusing on gender and digital space.
- Cultivate relationships with prospective clients, understanding their evolving needs and developing a pipeline of opportunities.
- Lead select business development activities, proposal writing, and participate in high-profile events.
- Cross-Portfolio Support:
- Provide strategic advice and support to other teams on gender-focused programs.
Requirements:
- Core Expertise:
- 8+ years of gender-focused strategic consulting experience in African or Asian markets.
- Deep understanding of women’s economic empowerment, gender-lens investing, and gender analysis tools.
- Expertise in digital economies, including e-commerce, gig economies, digital finance, and digital infrastructure.
- Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, with the ability to convert data into strategic recommendations.
- Proven ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in producing high-quality slide deck reports tailored to development practitioners.
- A background in management consulting or similar environments.
- Passionate, self-driven, and results-oriented.
- Additional Attributes:
- Strategic mindset, exceptional communication skills, and comfortable working in PowerPoint.
- Ability to work remotely as part of Caribou Digital’s remote-first team.
